American Herbal Pharmacopoeia Publishes Oshá Monograph and Therapeutic Compendium

In December 2018, the American Herbal Pharmacopoeia announced the publication of its oshá root monograph and therapeutic compendium. According to AHP, this monograph includes the first published pharmacopeial standards for this relatively unknown North American botanical. Though oshá has yet to gain widespread market appeal, Native American tribes have used the root extensively in a variety of ways, most notably for upper respiratory infections. Read more >>

Tea industry giant Brian Keating died unexpectedly in September 2018 from a heart attack. Friends and colleagues remember him as a kind, dynamic, and driven man with many talents. The industry will remember him and his consulting company, Sage Group, as forces that drove the popularity of high-quality tea in the United States.
